Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy is an evidence-informed profession that supports children and adults alike to increase their capacity to do what they want and need to do. At PlayhouseOT, we support children aged 3-10 years of age in the following areas:

-
Self care (grooming, eating, toileting)
-
Learning (fine motor, gross motor, transitions, self-advocacy, attention/concentration)
-
Social and leisure (emotional development, social interpretation, coaching, teaching their own neurotypes' social preferences)
-
Sensory (coping strategies development, exploration of sensory like/dislikes and what to do about this)
-
Advocacy (learning how to advocate for self)

At our practice, we understand that play is the primary occupation of children. We integrate cognitive-based methods to support emotional and self-regulation, ensuring a holistic approach to your child's development. Our services include personalized parent coaching, equipping you with the tools and strategies to support your child effectively. All our interventions are designed to be engaging and motivating, ensuring your child thrives in a fun and supportive environment.
